ST. VALENTINE'S DAY WEDDING
This is a very romantic time of the year! Even you might think this would be a popular time of year to get married, it is, in fact, more popular for engagements than wedding ceremonies.
If you are planning a wedding at short notice, this is another good time of year to get married, since venues before and after 14th February tend not to be too busy.
February is the coldest time of the year, in Gibraltar, but spring flowers will be available and your choice should ideally reflect the season; yellows, reds and other brightly coloured spring flowers. Choose a bright colour so that if the day turns out to be dull, the warmth of your colour scheme will cheer up everyone. |

CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR WEDDING
Often the period between Christmas and New Year is a very quiet one for the wedding industry, the winters in Gibraltar are mild and many of your proposed guests will be in holiday from work. What better time to get married with everyone available.
You might realise that you will only be able to have indoor photographs, a winter wedding is unlikely to provide the photographer with enough light to take photographs both at the ceremony venue and outside at the reception venue, but can be arranged e.g. in front of a blazing fire....
During the winter months you might think that a reception held indoor is the best option, however by the sea and in a heated marquee this adds a little different touch to your wedding. December and January are also not always as cold as you might think; we do have brilliant, mild sunny days throughout the winter. |
